Town assemblypersons from Fukushima prefecture’s Futaba-machi touring
the biological sample storage facility

Assemblypersons from the town of Futaba-machi, Fukushima prefecture visited RERF’s Hiroshima Laboratory on July 25. The group of nine persons, including Mr. Seiichi Sasaki, Chairman of the Futaba-machi town assembly, was first briefed on RERF by Chairman Okubo, and the visitors then attended a lecture on radiation and its effects on the human body given by Dr. Kotaro Ozasa, Chief of the Epidemiology Department. The group was later led on a tour of RERF’s facilities by Dr. Waka Ohishi, acting Chief of the Clinical Studies Department, including the biological sample storage facility.
